What is Duromine?

Duromine suppresses appetite and helps you lose weight by reducing hunger and making you feel fuller for longer. Duromine is best taken as part of an overall weight loss plan, along with a healthy, balanced diet and regular exercise.

In New Zealand, Duromin is available as capsules (15 mg and 30 mg) and only by prescription.

The usual dose of Duromin is 1 capsule (15mg or 30mg) once daily in the morning.
Your doctor will tell you what dose is best for you.
Higher doses don’t necessarily make you lose weight or lose weight faster. However, taking higher doses is more likely to cause more side effects.
Always take Duromin exactly as directed by your doctor.

How to take Duromin

Take Duromine first thing in the morning with breakfast to avoid waking up at night.
It is okay to take this medicine before or after meals. If you miss a dose of Duromin at breakfast, take it no later than lunch, or skip the missed dose and take the next dose at your normal time the next day.
Taking Duromine after lunch may interfere with sleep at night.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Things to Consider Before Taking Duromin

Talk to your doctor about your options before taking Duromin as it may not be for you if you experience any of the following symptoms:

high blood pressure
heart problems, such as angina (chest pain)
Diabetes
epilepsy
overactive thyroid
Glaucoma
pregnant or breastfeeding.

Like all drugs, Duromine can cause side effects, but not everyone experiences them. Duromine is a stimulant that acts on the central nervous system.

Common side effects of phentermine include:

increased pulse
nausea and vomiting
dry mouth
insomnia
Nervousness
Diarrhea (bowel movements) and constipation.
This medicine can cause dizziness. If this happens, do not drive or use any tools or machinery.
